Our Littlest Patrons
To foster a love of reading, it's important to start early! That's why we feel it is so important to provide high-quality programs and activities for the children of our community. Our mainstays of this effort are Storytime, with Miss Beth, and Toddler Time led by our director, Dorothy Seitz.
Storytime
These programs are for pre-school age children from 3 to 5 years old, and are led by our Children's Librarian, Beth Fry. Each session has a theme and includes stories, finger plays, flannel boards, songs and a simple craft to take home. Each session usually lasts 45 minutes to an hour.
Call the library (419-983-4675) or email Miss Beth for more information.
Toddler Time
Toddler time is designed for little ones who are walking through 3 years old, and is led by our library director, Dorothy Seitz. Stories, songs and playtime are the focus of these sessions, which last roughly 45 minutes. Toddler Time meets on Wednesday nights.
These programs, which begin at 6:30 p.m. are for children ages 1-3 who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Each session consists of simple stories, songs, fingerplays and play time.
It has been proven that when children are introduced to books at an early age their interest in school and reading is greatly enhanced. If you have any questions about the program or would like to register your child, call 419-983-4675.
